ACMl USA

USA's largest supplier of vending machines has added a new success story to its portfolio.

By making changes to their operation, they have been able to make significant annual savings without compensating service standards.

In the past, Sugary Loaf toys were sourced in China, shipped to their Seattle Pick and Pack centre, where assorted cartons were made and delivered to 150,000 individual locations across the USA.

Working with CGL has allowed the company to make assortments at origin and deliver goods directly to US distribution centers for cross-dock UPS delivery.

QC takes places at origin before sailing, saving the company US$0.8m annually on pick and pack labors.

Warehouse Management System handles over 2 thousand million SKUs monthly for Epson

In order to make use of the advantages brought by our bonded warehouse in China, goods no longer have to be
transported inefficiently from China to HK and back to China. CGL Shenzhen bonded facility is within a tight radius with 90% of Epson's vendors, thus, transportation time was greatly reduced to allow the implementation of a 'Just-in-Time' procurement program.

With efficiency greatly improved, we currently commit a 2-hours delivery time for urgent item requirement procurement for Epson's assembly lines. CGL 's 270,000 sq. ft. temperature controlled warehouse provides Epson to put in practice a 'Vendor Managed Inventory' program, where goods stored in CGL's bonded warehouse remain as vendor's ownership until they have been delivered to Epson. Vendors' coordination, P.O management and inventory control services which are provided by CGL's VMI program make available for Epson to enjoy bulk order discount from vendors while significantly minimized Epson's inventory along with our 'J-I-T' program.
